During the initial phase of Euro 2024 ticket applications, a total of 1.2 million tickets were made available. This application period took place from October 3 to October 26, 2023. The allocation of tickets was done through a lottery process on the UEFA portal. Each applicant had the opportunity to apply for a maximum of four tickets per match. It is important to note that individuals were not awarded tickets for multiple matches scheduled on the same day. On average, applicants applied for a total of 13 tickets. The successful applicants were notified of their selection on November 14.

For those who were unsuccessful in the initial draw, there is still a chance to secure tickets through UEFA’s “Fans First” program. These applicants have been automatically entered into the program and will receive alerts regarding new ticket availability during the first lottery phase.

Following the tournament draw on December 2, 2023, the second ticket ballot will commence. A total of one million tickets will be up for grabs for supporters from the 21 qualified nations. To secure their tickets, supporters will need to apply through their national association and make the purchase via UEFA’s website. The allocation of tickets will primarily prioritize members of national associations’ supporter groups, and a loyalty points based system will be used for distribution.

A reserved number of tickets will also be allocated to fans from the three countries that successfully qualify through the Euro 2024 play-offs. These countries include Poland, Estonia, Wales, Finland, Israel, Iceland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Georgia, Luxembourg, Greece, and Kazakhstan. The play-off matches are scheduled to take place on March 21 and March 26, 2024.

UEFA is set to launch a ticket resale platform in the spring of 2024. This initiative will allow fans to buy unwanted tickets at resale prices, forming part of UEFA’s efforts to tackle fraudulent ticket sales.
