With a perfectly executed cross that found Fabián Ruiz at the far post, Yamal played a crucial role in Spain’s 2-1 lead. Not only did he provide an assist on the night he became the youngest player to feature in a UEFA Euro knockout stage game, but his performance continues to impress.

Yamal now boasts two assists in EURO 2024, more than any other player in the tournament. Furthermore, he has become the first teenager to assist multiple goals since Cristiano Ronaldo achieved the feat 20 years ago.
