They will encounter a Timberwolves team that boasts an impressive 8-2 record in the playoffs thus far.
In the East, the Pacers have returned to the conference finals for the second consecutive year after overcoming the top-seeded Cavaliers in the second round. They will challenge the Knicks, who triumphed over the reigning champion Boston Celtics in Game 6 of their series on Friday night. The Pacers have not reached the NBA Finals since 2000, when they defeated the Knicks in the Eastern finals, while the Knicks last won the East in 1999, also against the Pacers.
